Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer and that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

5.1 IP Anonymization

We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. As a result, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before it is transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. 6. Newsletters

6.1 Newsletter data

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we need an e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter . Further data is not collected or only collected on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.

The data you have stored with us for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and deleted after you have canceled the newsletter. Data stored by us for other purposes (e.g. e-mail addresses for the members' area) remain unaffected.

6.2 Content of the newsletter

We send newsletters, e-mails and other electronic notifications with advertising information (hereinafter "newsletter") only with the consent of the recipient or legal permission. If the contents of the newsletter are specifically described when registering for the newsletter, they are decisive for the consent of the user.

In addition, our newsletters contain information on the topic of online marketing, in particular on the topics of blogging and search engine optimization (in particular references to our blog articles, lectures, workshops, our services and products as well as third-party services and products, such as those recommended by us tools or software).

6.3 Double Opt-In and Logging

Registration for our newsletter takes place in a so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that you will receive an e-mail after registration in which you will be asked to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary so that nobody can register with someone else's e-mail address.

The registrations for the newsletter are logged in order to be able to prove the registration process in accordance with the legal requirements. This includes storing the time of registration and confirmation as well as the IP address. Changes to your data stored by MailChimp are also logged.

6.4 Shipping Provider

The newsletter is sent using “MailChimp”, a newsletter mailing platform from the US provider Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.

The e-mail addresses of our newsletter recipients, as well as their other data described in this notice, are stored on the MailChimp servers in the USA. MailChimp uses this information to send and evaluate the newsletter on our behalf. According to its own information, MailChimp can also use this data to optimize or improve its own services, e.g. B. for the technical optimization of the dispatch and the presentation of the newsletter or for economic purposes, in order to determine from which countries the recipients come. However, MailChimp does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them ourselves or to pass them on to third parties.

We trust in the reliability and the IT and data security of MailChimp. MailChimp is subject to the US-EU data protection agreement "Privacy Shield" certified and thus committed to complying with EU data protection regulations. You can read MailChimp's privacy policy see here.

6.5 Data Processing Agreement

Furthermore, with MailChimp we have a "Data Processing Agreement" completed. This is a contract in which MailChimp undertakes to protect the data of our users, to process it on our behalf in accordance with their data protection regulations and, in particular, not to pass it on to third parties. This contract can be viewed at the following link: https://mailchimp.com/legal/forms/data-processing-agreement/sample-agreement/.

6.6 Login Information

To register for the newsletter, it is sufficient to provide your e-mail address. Optionally, we ask you to enter your first and last name. This information is only used to personalize the newsletter.

6.7 Statistical Collection and Analysis

The newsletters contain a so-called "web beacon", ie a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from the MailChimp server when the newsletter is opened. As part of this retrieval, technical information, such as information about the browser and your system, as well as your IP address and time of retrieval, are initially collected. This information is used to technically improve the services based on the technical data or the target groups and their reading behavior based on their retrieval locations (which can be determined using the IP address) or the access times.

The statistical surveys also include determining whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to the individual newsletter recipients. However, it is neither our aim nor that of MailChimp to monitor individual users. The evaluations serve us much more to recognize the reading habits of our users and to adapt our content to them or to send different content according to the interests of our users.

6.8 Online Access and Data Management

There are cases in which we direct the newsletter recipients to the MailChimp websites. For example, our newsletter contains a link with which newsletter recipients can access the newsletter online (e.g. in the event of display problems in the e-mail program). Furthermore, newsletter recipients can change their data, e.g. B. subsequently correct the e-mail address. Likewise, die Data protection  from MailChimp only available on their site.

In this context, we pointed out that cookies are used on the MailChimp websites and personal data is processed by MailChimp, its partners and the service providers used (e.g. Google Analytics). We have no influence on this data collection. For more information, you can der Data protection  from MailChimp. We would also like to draw your attention to the possibility of objecting to data collection for advertising purposes on the websites http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ and http://www.youronlinechoices.com/  (for the European area).

6.9 Termination/Revocation

You can cancel the receipt of our newsletter at any time, ie revoke your consent. At the same time, your consent to its dispatch via MailChimp and the statistical analyzes expire. A separate revocation of the dispatch via MailChimp or the statistical evaluation is unfortunately not possible.

You will find a link to cancel the newsletter at the end of each newsletter. If you would like to be unsubscribed from the newsletter, you can also send an e-mail to ssummer.ch@me.com .

6.10 Legal Basis

The processing of the data entered in the newsletter registration form takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the revocation.

7. Social Media

7.1 Share content via plugins (Facebook, Google+1, Twitter & Co.)

The content on our pages can be shared on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or Google+ in accordance with data protection. This page uses the plugin social warfare. This tool only establishes direct contact between the networks and users when the user actively clicks on one of these buttons.

This tool does not automatically transfer user data to the operators of these platforms. If the user is registered with one of the social networks, an information window appears when using the social buttons of Facebook, Google+, Pinterest Twitter & Co., in which the user can confirm the text before sending it.

Our users can share the content of this website on social networks in accordance with data protection regulations, without complete surfing profiles being created by the network operators.

7.2 Our Social Media Appearances

Data processing by social networks

We maintain publicly accessible profiles on social networks. The social networks we use in detail can be found below.

Social networks such as Facebook, Google+ etc. can generally analyze your user behavior comprehensively when you visit their website or a website with integrated social media content (e.g. Like buttons or advertising banners). Visiting our social media presence triggers numerous data protection-related processing operations. In detail:

If you are logged into your social media account and visit our social media presence, the operator of the social media portal can assign this visit to your user account. Under certain circumstances, however, your personal data can also be recorded if you are not logged in or do not have an account with the respective social media portal. In this case, this data is collected, for example, via cookies that are stored on your end device or by recording your IP address.

With the help of the data collected in this way, the operators of the social media portals can create user profiles in which your preferences and interests are stored. In this way, interest-based advertising can be displayed to you both inside and outside of the respective social media presence. If you have an account with the respective social network, interest-based advertising can be displayed on all devices on which you are logged in or were logged in.

Please also note that we cannot trace all processing operations on the social media portals. Depending on the provider, additional processing operations may therefore be carried out by the operators of the social media portals. Details can be found in the terms of use and data protection regulations of the respective social media portals.

legal basis

Our social media appearances should ensure the widest possible presence on the Internet. This is a legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The analysis processes initiated by the social networks may be based on different legal bases, which must be specified by the operators of the social networks (e.g. consent within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

Controller and assertion of rights

If you visit one of our social media presences (e.g. Facebook), we are jointly responsible with the operator of the social media platform for the data processing operations triggered during this visit. In principle, you can exercise your rights (information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data transferability and complaints) both against us as well as the operator of the respective social media portal (e.g. against Facebook).

Please note that despite the joint responsibility with the social media portal operators, we do not have full influence on the data processing operations of the social media portals. Our options are largely based on the corporate policy of the respective provider.

storage duration

The data collected directly by us via the social media presence will be deleted from our systems as soon as the purpose for storing it no longer applies, you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Saved cookies remain on your end device until you delete them. Mandatory legal provisions - especially retention periods - remain unaffected.

We have no influence on the storage period of your data, which is stored by the operators of the social networks for their own purposes. For details, please contact the operators of the social networks directly (e.g. in their privacy policy, see below).

8. Online Marketing and Affiliate Programs

8.1 Amazon Affiliate Program

The site operators participate in the Amazon EU partner program. Amazon advertisements and links to the Amazon.de website are integrated on our pages, from which we can earn money through reimbursement of advertising costs. Amazon uses cookies to be able to trace the origin of the orders. This allows Amazon to recognize that you have clicked the partner link on our website.

"Amazon cookies" are stored on the basis of Art. 6 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in this, since the amount of his affiliate remuneration can only be determined through the cookies.

For more information on how Amazon uses data, see Amazon's privacy policy: https://www.amazon.de/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=footer_privacy?ie=UTF8&nodeId=3312401.

9.Cookies

Cookies are small files that make it possible to store specific, device-related information on the user's access device (PC, smartphone, etc.). On the one hand, they serve the user-friendliness of websites and thus the users (e.g. storage of login data). On the other hand, they serve to collect statistical data on website use and to be able to analyze them in order to improve the offer. Users can influence the use of cookies. Most browsers have an option to restrict or completely prevent the storage of cookies. However, it is pointed out that the use and in particular the ease of use are restricted without cookies.

You can disable many online advertising cookies from companies through the US site www.aboutads.info/choices/  or the EU site www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/ manage.

You can also make your choice through the following platforms: IAB Opt-Out Platform and Network Advertising Initiative Opt-Out Platform, which offer options to make a decision for all companies registered on this platform.

9.1 Cookies and Traffic Reporting

We set "session cookies" der VG word, Munich, to measure access to texts. Our website and our mobile website use the 'scalable central measurement method' (SZM) der INFO online GmbH  for determining statistical parameters for determining the copy probability of texts.

Anonymous measurements are collected. The access number measurement alternatively uses a session cookie or a signature, which is created from various automatically transmitted information from your browser, to recognize computer systems. IP addresses are only processed in an anonymous form. At no time individual users are identified. Your identity is always protected. You will not receive any advertising through the system.

Session cookies are small pieces of information that a provider stores in the memory of the visitor's computer. A randomly generated unique identification number, a so-called session ID, is stored in a session cookie. A cookie also contains information about its origin and the storage period. Session cookies cannot store any other data. We thus enable our authors to participate in the distributions of the VG Wort, which ensure the legal remuneration for the use of copyrighted works in accordance with § 53 UrhG.

If you do not want to take part in the measurement, you can object under the following link: https://optout.ioam.de/

10. Integration of Third-Party Services and Content

Within our online offer, we rely on our legitimate interests (ie interest in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f. GDPR) content or service offers from third-party providers in order to integrate their content and services, such as videos or fonts (hereinafter uniformly referred to as “content”).

This always presupposes that the third-party providers of this content perceive the IP address of the user, since without the IP address they could not send the content to their browser. The IP address is therefore required for the display of this content. We endeavor to only use content whose respective providers only use the IP address to deliver the content. Third-party providers can also use so-called pixel tags (invisible graphics, also known as "web beacons") for statistical or marketing purposes. The "pixel tags" can be used to evaluate information such as visitor traffic on the pages of this website. The pseudonymous information can also be stored in cookies on the user's device and can contain, among other things, technical information about the browser and operating system, referring websites, visiting times and other information on the use of our online offer, and can also be linked to such information from other sources.

12. Google AdSense

Google AdSense uses so-called "cookies", text files which are stored on the user's computer and which enable an analysis of the use of the website. Google AdSense also uses so-called web beacons (invisible graphics). These web beacons can be used to evaluate information such as visitor traffic on the pages of this offer.

The information generated by cookies and web beacons about the use of this website (including the IP address of the user) and the delivery of advertising formats is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. This information may be passed on by Google to Google's contractual partners. However, Google will not merge your IP address with other data stored by you.

Users can prevent the installation of cookies by setting their browser software accordingly; however, the provider points out to users that in this case they may not be able to use all the functions of this offer to their full extent. 13. WelectPublish

Plugins of the “Welect” service are integrated on our website. These plugins are offered by Welect GmbH, Platz der Ideen 1, 40467 Düsseldorf (hereinafter "Welect"). We first use the WelectPublish service to detect whether an AdBlocker is in use and to display the AdBlock wall. In this respect, Welect becomes active on our behalf (order processing). Our legitimate interest lies in ensuring the financing of our website through advertising.

If you are using an AdBlocker, you can read the desired article without deactivating the AdBlocker if you watch a commercial in return. If you choose to do so, WelectPublish will be used to view a commercial of your choice. Welect itself is responsible for the processing of personal data in connection with the display of the commercial. In this case, the legal basis for disclosing the IP address and the website accessed to Welect is Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent). You will then be taken back to the article, which you can now read.

With WelectPublish, Welect can evaluate whether you are using the Welect service and which advertising content is displayed to you. This information is stored in a cookie on your computer and evaluated when you use WelectPublish again to prevent advertising offers that you have already used from being displayed again. Welect also uses your IP address (state/city/zip code level) to show you offers from sponsors in your region.

As part of the advertising you have selected, technology providers commissioned by the advertising companies and/or their agencies collect information that is related to the display of this advertising (e.g. delivery frequency, measurement of visibility, clicks on the advertising) stand. For more information on tracking and opt-out, see Welect's privacy policy: https://www.welect.de/datenschutz.

The cookie remains stored until you delete it from your browser, but no longer than two weeks after the last use of the service. According to Welect, your IP address will not be stored after the processing described above. It is only recorded in the log files.

The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR (protection of legitimate interests). Welect's legitimate interest lies in correct billing to advertisers.
